The Internet Hates Me For This

If you follow me on Instagram or TikTok you may have seen I uploaded a video talking about how travel is ‘simple’.

You may have also seen that I had to upload a follow-up video explaining myself. 😅

After the initial upload my comment sections were flooded with people giving me hate for it, and looking back I can see why.

Now, I’m not rolling over and saying I was wrong. What I am saying is that my wording could’ve been better. 📝

I’m not about to repeat myself in this email. Instead, I want to go into more depth about what I was talking about; why travel IS simple. 😈

Monetary situations, work commitments and all the other things life throws at us aside, travel IS as simple as booking a flight and going. ✈️

So many people overcomplicate the planning and preparation stages to the point that they paralyse themselves and end up not booking the trip they want to. I can say this because I’ve seen it happen, a lot.

I understand why though. If your socials are anything like mine you’re probably flooded with highlight reels of people having the time of their lives, doing these incredible things daily and everything seems to go to plan.

And this creates pressure on us that if we’re going to do a trip like that, we HAVE to make it perfect.

I’m here to tell you that you’re wrong. 😳

To put it bluntly, if you think you can book a trip of any duration and everything goes perfectly then you’re delusional. Things go wrong, it’s how you deal with it that makes the difference.

Stop over-complicating it, if you want to go somewhere then do this:

1. Pick a place to go

2. Research what there is to do/what it is that drew you to that place

3. Get an idea for your budget - If you need help with this, click here.​

4. Book flights

5. Book accommodation

6. Turn up at the airport

Also to bring it back to the internet hating me, my comments may have been flooded with hate but the like/views ratio was higher than my normal videos telling me a lot of people thought I was onto something. Give it a go.
